Rescheduling for the NMAT-2010
Why is this option being made available?
The scheduling for NMAT-2010 has been done by an automated system. The factors considered by the system to assign a testing appointment include the available seat capacity, the blocking of a certain percentage of seats to deal with any technical exigencies and a match to the city and date preference of the candidate to the maximum extent possible.
We have taken great care to ensure that 100% of the candidates have been assigned their first preference of city. The system maximizes the percentage of candidates getting their date preferences. However, there may be cases where the date preferences may not be met, given the demand and the available seat capacity in the city of their first preference.
A few seats are still available on certain dates, time slots, and locations. We wish to make these available to provide a last opportunity and convenience to candidates to change their current test appointment. There may be other seats available depending upon candidates giving up or changing their current assigned appointment. With this objective, we have planned a rescheduling window to be made open to all candidates. The rescheduling window will open on 11th January and will remain open till 17th January 2010 until 5:00 PM IST.
It is reiterated that the rescheduling option does not guarantee any seat availability; it is fully dependent on the availability of a vacant seat at a given location, date or time.
How can you reschedule your test?
If you wish to try and reschedule your test, you may do so during the reschedule window from 11th January 2010 to 17th January 2010 until 5:00 PM IST. You can call the customer service desk at the following number – 91-120-4397855 – between the hours of 8:30am IST to 6:30pm IST everyday during the reschedule window. Subject to availability, the customer service agent will be able to reschedule your NMAT-2010 to another convenient appointment (location, date and/or time) for you upon payment of a fee of Rs. 800 (for candidates testing within India as well as those testing outside India). Please note that payment can only be made through a credit card (Master Card and Visa) as seats cannot be reserved and a real-time payment method is required to secure your new test appointment. Please also note that this transaction on any Master Card or a Visa card may be processed in US Dollars equivalent of INR 800, and depending upon the credit card organization’s arrangement there may be certain service charges or commission charged to your credit card account to be borne by you. We will not be able to accept any other mode of payment except a Master Card or Visa card. So when you call to reschedule, please have your NMAT ID and credit card details ready. You will be charged the reschedule fee ONLY if a seat is available and the test is successfully rescheduled to the desired location, date and/or time. If there is no seat available against your request, you may try calling us on another day as a seat may become available due to someone else’s reschedule.

Rescheduling eligibility
Candidates who have registered for testing within a particular country can only reschedule to available locations within that specific country. For example, if you have registered to take the NMAT-2010 in Mumbai in India, you can change your preferred location to any of the 19 testing locations within India only, subject to availability.
Confirmation e-mail
If you have successfully rescheduled your test, a new confirmation e-mail will be sent to you. Please note that this new confirmation e-mail needs to be carried with you on the day of your test to your test centre. All previous confirmation e-mails will be null and void, so please remember to carry your latest confirmation e-mail printout.
If you are unable to find another convenient date and do not reschedule your test, please note that the confirmation e-mail of your last confirmed booking will prevail. You must bring a printout of the confirmation e-mail to the test centre on the day of your test.
